Gall Bladder Surgery

Gall bladder surgery remains a large area of litigation, usually involving allegations of negligent damage of a duct or other anatomy, or even negligence in the type of surgery selected (open v. laparoscopic). By visually examining the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the gallbladder, this lecture then considers the available treatments, their indications and contraindications, and subsequent complications in order to put medical malpractice allegations in perspective.
